We have an amazing opportunity for a candidate interested in being a Controller. Under the guidance of our Chief Financial Officer, the right candidate will be mentored on a 3-year progression plan to move from Accounting Manager to Controller. The plan will be structured around skill development, people management guidance, experience building and strategic positioning. The primary goal will be to build a strong foundation in financial reporting, compliance, and team development and collaboration.
The job. What you will be doing as an Accounting Manager:
○ The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of an organization’s accounting department, ensuring accurate financial recordkeeping, managing reporting and compliance functions, and leading a team of accounting professionals.
What you need to land this awesome job:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required, Master’s desired but not required
Experience:
- Proven working experience as Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager
- Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to direct and supervise accounting team of four (4) currently
- Prior management is not a requirement as the progression plan will provide the training and guidance needed
- Competency in Microsoft applications. Proficient in Excel.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- License or Certification: CPA is a plus but not required
- Travel requirements: Minimal
- Minimum Physical requirements: Lifting no more than 10 pounds
- Minimum Behavior requirements: You must Be Humble, Stay Hungry and Live Smart
A day in the life (but not limited to):
- Manages all accounting tasks
- Maintain General Ledger and month-end closes, including accruals, prepaids, etc.
- Manage the AR, AP and Payroll processes over time as directed by the progression plan
- General Accounting Reports
- i.e.: EBITDA P&L Statements, Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Bank Reporting, etc.
- Managing client credit
- Fixed Asset tracking, including annual audit, depreciation schedules and construction
- Oversee tax reporting for vendors 1099’s with outside third-party CPA
- Manage intercompany allocations
- Coordinate annual audit with outside third-party CPA

- Annual Potential Earnings: $95,000 - $115,000 Plus bonus potential
